Ramona Nerra, was born on June 9th in Craiova, Romania. At the age of nine she discovered her passion for singing & music. She convinced her parents into helping her join the kids club, a children's and artist development program organised by the State of Romania.

At the age of 14, Ramona was accepted into the "Romanian School of Arts" (High School). The Institute was for teenagers ages 16 and up only, but after hearing Ramona's voice, the head-master was so excited, she made an exception . After graduation, Ramona wanted to expand her artistic aspiration & passion for singing and explore her acting talent & stage presence. Ramona enrolled and studied at the "University of Theatre and Film" in Bucharest, Romania (from 1999 to 2003).

During this period she receives 14 Music Awards in her native country of Romania. In 2001, together with her friend Nicoleta Luciu, she founded the pop duo "ALIZE". The Record Label at that time was the Romanian Radio and TV company "MediaPro Music".

The first single called "Nu te mai asa Purta" entered at the top of the charts, soon after this the pop-duo enjoyed 2 years of success in Romania, touring the country with diverse appearances on Romanian television. But Ramona wanted more, her dream was always to conquer Europe and see the world... "Dream Big"

Start from Scratch...

After traveling and performing throughout Scandinavia all the way down to Spain, Ramona is drawn to Germany. The strong- willed 23-year old wanted to start an international music career and chose Cologne, Germany as her home base. Without secure contacts, confirmed appearances or a place to stay, Ramona took it upon herself, to learn the language and got a job singing in local clubs to pay her rent. The reality in Germany was everything else but an easy one. It would have been easier as a young star in Romania. She started again from scratch, and learned the hard way. One gig after another...

Hard work pays off...

By the end of 2005, Ramona's hard work pays off... in a short period of time, Ramona becomes the talk of the town, various bands, musicians & singers in Cologne's live music scene all beginn to introduce her into the German music scene. She is known as "The new star" working out of Cologne. Due to this exposure she begins supporting superstars like Lionel Richie, Joe Cocker, Bonnie Tyler, Chris de Burgh, Johnny Logan , Jennifer Rush or Gloria Gaynor to name a few.

2009 Ramona meets the Düsseldorf band "Fresh Music Live" and it's management. From beginning on, everyone knew that Ramona had found her new musical home. "It just fit like a glove". Ever since , Ramona performs approximately 18 to 20 shows per month and gives concerts throughout Europe with artists such as Kelly Rowland, Nicole Scherzinger, Tiesto, Shaggy, Mousse T., Anastasia, Natasha Bedingfield to name a few.

Vocal power and stunning charisma...

This is what the makers of the TV show "The Voice of Germany" and it's jury: Nena, Xavier Naidoo, Rae Garvey & Boss Hoss and other variables of the German music industry recognized. 2011, proved to be Ramona's biggest challenge yet, she took part on the first season of "The Voice" and made it into the semi-finals. Week after week millions of German television audiences tuned in to watch the Romanien singer. Ramona had the most press week after week, but in the end, her being to professional was that what was viewed as her weakness...

Her successs on „The Voice of Germany" and new found media hype, opened doors for Ramona's career. After watching her on TV, Superstar producer & DJ "ATB" asked her to feature on a song he was recording. After meeting Ramona and working with her in the Studio, she ended up featuring on 2 songs. Each song endet up being hit singles for ATB "Never give up" and "In and out of love" both sold well over 2 million times throughout the US and rest of the world. Following these hits, Ramona was asked to join Andre (ATB) on his "Live in Concert" USA Tour.

At the moment Ramona is writing and recording her solo album. She already recorded in Nashville (USA) , Brugge (Belgium) , Düsseldorf (Germany) and Bucharest (Romania) . News following very soon about this topic!
